Tummy Tuck Abroad
The tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) can be a good option for people whose skin has lost it's elasticity and is difficult to tone and improve through diet and exercise. This is often true for those who have lost a large amount of weight. This can cause many women and men to feel self conscious about the apron of skin that often is noticeable through their clothes (making wearing swimwear a nightmare!). For these people a tummy tuck is often an excellent choice.
Following a Tummy Tuck Procedure Our Clients Say:
- I feel so much younger!
- I cannot wait to show off my new figure on the beach!
- I feel much more confident about being naked.
- I love my new look.
Is a Tummy Tuck for Me?
The ‘tummy tuck’ removes excess skin and fat. The aim is to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall, resulting in a flatter abdominal profile. If you have tried to diet, and exercise isnt improving the look of your tummy then a tummy tuck could be the answer. A discussion with your patient advisor and surgeon will help you decide if the procedure is for you.
The Tummy Tuck Procedure
There are two types of tummy tuck: a mini tummy tuck and a full tummy tuck. Both are performed under general anaesthetic. A mini tummy tuck is just one incision made across the lower abdomen, where excess fat and loose skin then is removed. A full tummy tuck has the incision in the lower abdomen as well as one around the navel. The muscles are pulled tight and stitched in place. Your surgeon will discuss with you as to which procedure will suit you best.
What Happens After My Tummy Tuck Abroad?
Following your tummy tuck you will stay in the hospital overnight and the next day be discharged to your hotel in the care of your personal assistant to continue your recovery. Your recovery time in the hotel will be approximately one week, which is spent resting and generally taking it easy. Once back in the UK we will monitor you until you feel you are back to normal following your tummy tuck abroad.
