Eye Surgery Abroad
Blephraoplasty, or Eye Surgery, is a procedure that can ‘awaken’ tired eyes and faces, and eliminate bags under the eyes. The operation can be carried out on the lower and or upper eyelids.
Following Eye Surgery Our Clients Have Said:
- My droopy eyes made me look so tired. Not anymore!
- My face is so much fresher, its whole appearance has changed.
- I look and feel a lot happier!
Is Eye Surgery for Me?
Eye Surgery can be helpful when excess skin obscures the natural fold of the upper eyelid, or loose skin hanging from the upper eyelids makes the eyes look tired and old. A discussion with your personal patient coordinator will help you determine if eye surgery is the option for you.
The Eye Surgery Procedure
Performed under general anaesthetic, eye surgery can take between 1 and 3 hours. For lower eyelid surgery, an incision is made under the lower lashes or inside the eyelid and excess skin is removed. For upper eyelid surgery the incision is made along the natural crease of the eyelid. Surplus tissue is then removed, leaving the eyes with a brighter younger look.
What Happens After my Eye Surgery Abroad?
Following your eye surgery you will stay in the hospital overnight and the next day be discharged to your hotel in the care of your personal assistant to continue your recovery. Your recovery time in the hotel will be approximately one week, and is spent resting and generally taking it easy. Once back in the UK we will monitor you until you feel you are back to normal and have fully recovered from your eye surgery abroad.
