Is a Breast Uplift For Me?
Many who consider having a breast uplift do so due to loss of skin elasticity, gravity and other factors. Reasons to consider a breast uplift may be weight loss or changes resulting from pregnancy and breast-feeding. Breast uplift surgery often provides the solution many women are wishing for. A discussion with your personal patient coordinator will tell you if a breast uplift procedure is the option for you.
The Breast Uplift Procedure
A breast uplift is a performed under general anaesthetic. Whilst there are small variations on how the operation is performed, the usual procedure of lifting the breasts involves three incisions:
- Around the areola
- Vertically from the bottom edge of the areola to the crease underneath the breast
- Horizontally beneath the breast, following the natural curve of the breast crease
The breast uplift operation can take up to three hours. It may possible for this operation to be combined with an augmentation, giving you a truly wonderful new look. This can be discussed with your surgeon during your consultations.
