Is it a Breast Reduction for Me?
A breast reduction could benefit you if the size of your breasts restricts what you want to do with your life. If you feel that your breasts are too large in proportion to the rest of your body, or if your breasts cause you neck and back pain or skin irritation, you may be a good candidate for breast reduction surgery. Please discuss further with your patient advisor to assist you in becoming fully informed and coming to the correct decision regarding breast reduction.
The Breast Reduction Procedure
Your particular individual factors as well as personal preferences will determine the specific techniques selected to reduce the size of your breasts. However, with a breast reduction the most common method involves three incisions:
- Around the areola
- Vertically from the bottom edge of the areola to the crease underneath the breast
- Horizontal beneath the breast, following the natural curve of the breast crease
The surgeon will remove the excess breast tissue, fat and skin, finishing off by repositioning the nipple and areola in a higher position, completing the breast reduction procedure.
What Happens After my Breast Reduction Surgery Abroad?
You will stay in the hospital overnight following your procedure and be discharged to your hotel the next day in the care of your personal assistant to continue your recovery. Your recovery time in the hotel will be approximately 10 days, which is spent resting and generally taking it easy. Once back in the UK we will monitor you until you feel you are feeling healthy and fully recovered from your breast reduction abroad.
